There is a 10 year old General Electric brand water heater. It is in good working condition, but technically near the end of its 10 year expected lifespan. The tank is well tethered with earthquake straps. These straps are designed to minimize the chances that the water heater is damaged or toppled over in an earthquake.
Its pressure release valve is fitted with a drip tube that could use some attention. This is discussed as part of the high priority plumbing concerns project.
